# The Cleveland Hotel

> Two Victorian townhouses on Cleveland Square, a short walk from Paddington and the north side of Hyde Park. The stucco, the cornices and the tall sash windows are all still there; behind them the rooms have been taken back and rebuilt as studio rooms, each with its own kitchenette. Every room has a kitchenette — hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and proper crockery — along with air conditioning, a flat-screen television and a private bathroom. The desk is staffed around the clock, in several languages. Four Underground stations are within a ten-minute walk, which puts the West End, Westminster and the South Bank about a quarter of an hour away. The Cleveland has been letting these rooms since 2007.

## Room types

- **Executive Deluxe Studio Suite** (sleeps up to 3) — A queen and a single, which makes this the smallest room that works properly for three. Seating area, full kitchenette, and a bathroom that will not cause an argument in the morning.
- **Executive Studio Suite** (sleeps up to 2) — Four square metres more than the Studio Suite, and almost all of it goes into the seating area — a real sofa rather than a chair in a corner. Queen bed, full kitchenette, and a bathroom with room to put things down.
- **Family Studio Suite** (sleeps up to 4) — Forty square metres, a queen and two singles, and the best light in the house. The largest room we have and the one families take for a week at a time — kitchenette, seating area, and floor left over for open suitcases.
- **Single Studio** (sleeps up to 1) — A compact studio for one, on the quieter side of the house. Room enough for a proper desk and a wardrobe, with the kitchenette along one wall and the bathroom off the corner. Sash windows, and curtains that actually close.
- **Studio Suite** (sleeps up to 2) — The standard double, and the one most people book. A queen bed under the window, a seating corner that earns its place if you are staying more than a night, and a full kitchenette so breakfast need not be an event.
