Two Victorian townhouses on Cleveland Square, a short walk from Paddington and the north side of Hyde Park. The stucco, the cornices and the tall sash windows are all still there; behind them the rooms have been taken back and rebuilt as studio rooms, each with its own kitchenette.
Every room has a kitchenette — hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and proper crockery — along with air conditioning, a flat-screen television and a private bathroom. The desk is staffed around the clock, in several languages.
Four Underground stations are within a ten-minute walk, which puts the West End, Westminster and the South Bank about a quarter of an hour away. The Cleveland has been letting these rooms since 2007.
