Booking terms & conditions
These terms apply to rooms booked directly with The Cleveland Hotel, 39-40 Cleveland Square, London W2 6DA.
Your booking
A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from us. Please check it and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
Rates shown include VAT and are per room, per night, for the number of guests selected.
Payment
The payment terms depend on the rate you choose, and are shown on that rate before you book:
- Non-refundable rates are charged in full at the time of booking.
- Flexible rates are not charged at the time of booking; we securely hold your card to guarantee the room, and payment follows the terms shown on the rate.
We reserve the right to validate your card by pre-authorisation at the time of booking. We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Maestro. Cash is not accepted.
Cancellation
Every rate carries one of two policies. The one that applies to your stay is shown on the rate before you book and is repeated in your confirmation email.
- Flexible — cancel free of charge up to 72 hours (3 days) before arrival. Cancel after that point, or fail to arrive, and the full stay is charged.
- Non-refundable — charged in full at the time of booking. No changes and no refunds.

Check-in and check-out
- Check-in is from 2:00pm. Check-out is by 11:00am.
- Guests are required to show photo identification and the card used to book at check-in.
- The minimum age for check-in is 18.
- Please let us know your expected arrival time in advance.
Children, cots and extra beds
- Children of any age are welcome. Children aged 4 and over are charged as adults.
- Cots for children aged 0–2 are free of charge, on request and subject to availability.
- Extra beds are £40 per night, payable at the property. Please contact us to arrange one; they are subject to availability.
Pets
Pets are not allowed.
Accessibility
Please note that lift access to certain rooms within the property is limited. This may cause difficulty for guests with limited mobility — please contact us before booking so we can advise on a suitable room.
Groups
When booking more than 5 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply. Please contact us directly.
Special requests
All special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. We cannot guarantee them.
